TROUBLESHOOTING HAIRINESS AND BLURRED EDGES IN PAD PRINTING
This problem is mostly caused by static charge. However, improper buffer shape or paint fluidity can also cause this problem. Causes and solutions:
Causes of Pad
- If a straight bumper is used, a more tapered bumper should be tried.
Causes of Printing Block
- If the cliché is too deep, the printing should be tried with the cliché at the appropriate depth.
- If the cliché is without raster or with an incorrect type raster, clichés should be prepared and tested with different rasters.
Causes of Ink
- If the ink dries too slowly, fast thinner should be used.
- If the ink is too thick, thinner should be added to the ink.
Material-Related Causes
- Static charge can build up on the material. In this case, de-ionizer should be used or the humidity of the working environment should be increased.
Other Causes
- If the humidity of the air stabilizer is low, the air stabilizer should be increased to 60-80%.
- If the buffer pressure on the material is too high, the pressure should be reduced.
- If the conversion time is too high, the printing time should be reduced.
